マルチ奏者、野口英律を中心とした音楽及びそれらに関わる集団、コミュニティーである。
ムスキス、マスキス等、特に読み方は決まっていない。
基本的に6人編成でのライヴが多いためMUSQIS SEXTETと表記される事が多い。
演奏内容でも名前が変り、即興演奏の場合は MUSQIS umpoverito 等
その性質からサポート、ゲスト等を迎える事が多く、その編成は極めて流動的である。
意識の高い皆の善意で成り立っている。
